Kodiak Works with LMR & Consoles You Have

One of the cornerstones of broadband PTT has been interoperability. Our broadband PTT solution adds broadband cellular and Wi-Fi to your LMR/PMR system, giving you the freedom of ubiquitous network coverage and providing seamless communications between broadband PTT subscribers and LMR/PMR users. Using Console Sub-System Interface (CSSI) or other mechanisms of interoperability, we enable new worlds of connectivity without separated network silos.

IP Interface / CSSI

Open Up New Levels of Connectivity

CSSI allows your existing dispatch console and broadband PTT to access each other’s capabilities. Your dispatcher can have group calls and one-to-one calls with broadband PTT users as well as sending or receiving alerts. Integration with the Kodiak Broadband PTT solution solidifies the dispatch console’s role as the center for connectivity for instant communications.

Bridge LMR/PMR and Broadband PTT

Through patching on a dispatch console with a CSSI/IP interface, Kodiak broadband PTT users can communicate with workers who use an existing LMR/PMR system, extending its reach cost-effectively. By partnering with top-tier console vendors, such as Avtec and Zetron, to integrate their systems with our broadband PTT solution, Kodiak continues its focus on finding new ways to augment LMR networks.

Radio Gateways

Expand Your Two-Way Radio Network without a Console

Even if you do not use a dispatch console that supports CSSI, you can get interoperability between our broadband PTT solution and your LMR/PMR network through an interoperability gateway. Once plugged into the gateway, Kodiak broadband PTT and your LMR/PMR networks are linked, creating a unified PTT communication system. Now you have access to a nationwide cellular network and Wi-Fi, eliminating coverage limitations of LMR radios.

With carrier-subsidized PTT handsets, simple set-up, maintenance-free operations, and low usage charges, you can expand your existing two-way radio network quickly and at a very low incremental cost.
